8. How to Contact Us

This Policy aims to clarify rules governing Unitree Robotics’ processing of personal information, personal‑information‑processing activities, ways for you to manage your personal information, and how we protect your personal information. We strive to state content in plain‑language text. Clauses materially relevant to your legitimate interests are highlighted in bold for your attention. We strongly recommend that you carefully read and fully understand the entire content of this Policy before you first open, register or log into your account, or use our products or services, and make appropriate independent choices. If you disagree with this Policy, we cannot obtain authorization to process your personal information, and may therefore be unable to provide you with complete product functions or services. Your use of Unitree Explore constitutes your full and complete reading, understanding and acceptance of this Policy, and we shall process and protect your personal information in accordance with the collection, use and storage rules set forth herein.

1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

We collect and use your personal information for the purposes and scenarios described in this Policy:

1.1 Account Registration and Login

When you register as a Unitree Explore user, you may register an account using your email address. We collect your identity‑identifier information, including email address and verification code, enterprise name (if applicable), contact name, contact phone number, time zone and language (hereinafter referred to as "Account Information"). If you refuse to provide such information, you may be unable to normally use our products.

1.2 Provision of Products or Services

1.2.1 When you add a product, you need to authorize Bluetooth permission. We collect your Bluetooth name, device identifier, device model and operating‑system version for Bluetooth pairing between your smartphone and the product. Refusal to provide such information will prevent you from adding the product and experiencing full product functions.

1.2.2 When you connect to a product, you may select either AP direct‑connection mode or Wi‑Fi connection mode. We collect your Wi‑Fi name (SSID), Wi‑Fi password, Wi‑Fi physical address (BSSID), Wi‑Fi scan results, device name, device model, device SN number, device identifier, device IP address and Account Information, for network pairing and product connection via wireless network.

Refusal to provide such information will prevent you from pairing the network and connecting to the product and experiencing full product functions. Your Wi‑Fi password is only temporarily cached on your local device and will not be uploaded to or stored on Unitree cloud servers.

Important Notice: Per Android and iOS system permission‑management requirements, the App must obtain location permission to acquire the current Wi‑Fi name (SSID) and BSSID. This system requirement arises because Wi‑Fi network names and BSSIDs may indirectly reflect the device’s geographic location, and are therefore categorized under location‑privacy protection by operating systems. This permission is used exclusively to obtain network identifiers necessary for Wi‑Fi network‑configuration. We will not collect your precise GPS location through this permission. You may disable location permission at any time in your mobile‑system settings; upon disabling, you will lose Wi‑Fi network‑configuration capability, but you may still connect to the product via AP direct‑connection mode.

1.2.3 When you use the Benben Buddy feature of the G1 product, you may converse with Benben Buddy within the App. The mobile App collects voice messages, images and other information you send, and delivers intelligent‑conversation and motion‑interaction services via the product.

Important Notice: Voice and image information constitute sensitive personal information, and are collected solely to implement intelligent‑interaction functions. Leakage of such information may pose risks to your personal and property rights and interests. You may independently choose whether to enable the Benben Buddy feature, and may disable microphone and album permissions at any time.

Pictures and video files you capture or upload are retained locally on your mobile phone by default. If you authorize invocation of cloud‑based AI models for processing, relevant image and video data are used only for real‑time computation and are deleted immediately upon completion of processing.

Collection of such information is necessary to provide this feature. You may independently choose whether to use it; refusal to provide relevant information will only disable this feature and will not affect other Unitree Explore functions. We recommend that you refrain from actively sending sensitive personal information when using this feature. If information you input contains another person’s personal information, you must obtain valid authorization from that person prior to input to avoid improper disclosure of third‑party personal information.

1.2.4 You may submit feedback on issues encountered during product or service use via the in‑App feedback function. We collect issue descriptions you manually enter, uploaded images and contact information, to enable customer‑service teams to understand and respond to your issues and synchronize feedback results to you.

1.2.5 Based on specific permissions you grant during product installation and use, we receive and record your commonly‑used‑device information, fault information and performance information, to analyze product‑operation status, improve and optimize product‑service experience, safeguard your account security and deliver after‑sales services. Such information includes device model, operating system, device identifier, login IP address, access‑network mode, type and status (e.g. SSID and BSSID), OTA records, product logs and application logs (e.g. your product‑operation records, App login/logout records), and product‑status service information (e.g. product memory and temperature). We retain various network and device logs for at least six (6) months to comply with applicable legal and security requirements.

1.3 Personal‑Information and System‑Permission Invocation Description

To deliver complete product functions and/or services, we may need to invoke system permissions on your device to collect relevant personal information. This section summarizes all personal information and system permissions involved in the collection purposes set forth in the preceding subsection, so you may systematically and transparently understand Unitree Explore App’s invocation of system permissions and corresponding personal‑information‑processing activities. You may choose whether to authorize relevant permissions on your mobile device, and you may disable or re‑enable them after authorization.

We adopt technical and administrative measures including encrypted transmission, storage isolation, access control, data minimization and de‑identification to guarantee security and compliance of your personal information during global‑processing activities.

Prior to any cross‑border personal‑information‑processing activity, we ensure that relevant data flows satisfy applicable local data‑protection‑law requirements, and safeguard your personal‑information rights and interests from impairment by executing compliant agreements and implementing security‑safeguard mechanisms.

We establish data‑compliance‑management systems to govern personal‑information storage and use, and ensure we do not collect personal information irrelevant to products or services we provide.

4.2.2 We have appointed a Personal‑Information‑Protection Officer and formulated management systems and procedural specifications for personal‑information protection. We conduct Personal‑Information‑Protection Impact Assessments for data‑processing activities materially affecting personal‑rights‑and‑interests, including sensitive‑personal‑information processing and external information sharing.
